Vocational and Independent Living Skills Training

The Adults with Disabilities Program mission is to enable adults with disabilities to become self-reliant and productive community members by providing quality instruction in vocational and independent living skills. Classes available in the community are titled Life Skills, Community Access Skills, Workplace Skills and Functional Academics. Quarterly modules include Safety, Fitness, Nutrition, Job Preparation, Time Telling, Reading, Phone Skills, Counting, Calculators, Computers/Internet, Socialization, Cooking and Handwriting. This program operates all year with open entry/exit and is free for students with diagnosed disabilities. Individualized education programs are available.

Instructors: Mark Ferrer, David Stoner, Miriam Feldman, Suzon Ahern, and Gil Seegmiller. Intake meetings for new students are held Mondays, 9am - noon. Reading and math assessments are scheduled 9am - noon on Wednesdays. For information, call (650)934-0335 x 351.
