English as a Second Language (ESL)

ESL placement tests are usually given every other Monday unless there is a holiday. You must come into the Adult School office at 333 Moffett Blvd., Mountain View, to register to take a placement test. Space is limited. No childcare is available during testing.

Citizenship

(Intermediate-level ESL or above) Study important information about American history, government, culture and geography. Practice answering questions for the citizenship exam. Students should enroll two quarters prior to taking the examination for U.S. Citizenship.

ESL Business Office Skills Success (BOSS)

This certificate course will give the ESL student a solid foundation of skills for an entry level office position. You will learn basic MS Word, office terminology, standard business office practices, and team work. Upon completion of this course you will obtain a General Clerk certificate and be ready for the BOSS course. Instructors: Elaine Lagge, Mira Singer.
